Any recommendations for best tactical voting site pls? 18:11 - Dec 11 with 630 viewsRyorry

Obviously the less biased & more accurate the better.

My constituency's (Skipton & Ripon) stats are pretty skewed by LDs standing aside for Greens in 2017, so Julian Smith (Con Party) had a huge majority of just under 20K. In 2015, a weak LD candidate was completely eclipsed by Labour. In 2010 however, a very strong LD candidate had reduced the majority of the Con party to under 10,000 (Julian Smith was new in the seat). Not sure of popularity of either Lab or LD candidate this time round. Julian Smith stands again for the Cons & unfortunately seems relatively popular locally :(

Basically, anything other than a blue result is obviously unlikely, but on the basis of "you never know ..." am looking for the no.1 best way to boot out JS ...

You Tory MP won 63% of the vote last time. No amount of tactical voting will dislodge him, you might as well waste your vote on the Yorkshire Party.

Ah, but if only 14% of those who voted for him last time voted Lab tomorrow instead ...

People should have the courage of their convictions. If everyone did, we might actually be able to get rid of this bunch of lying, selfish, greedy, uncaring pschitterbougers ...

The swing from the last election is currently away from Labour, and your constituency voted to Leave, so that just isn't going to happen (although for balance, the final opinion polls averaged an 8% lead for the Conservatives in 2017 and so were significantly wrong)

Last election can't be counted in this constituency - no LD stood (made way for Greens) - which completely skewed the majority for statistical purposes.

And a large proportion of the Leave voters would have been farmers - many of whom I think will now have changed their minds.

Lib Dems and Greens barely registered in every rural seat in Yorkshire, there is nothing to suggest having a Lib Dem candidate would have made any significant difference to the Labour and Conservative share of the vote.

It's all done and dusted where you live, the only realistic hope for Labour is that the polls have not accounted for a late youth surge in the vote, as per 2017
