Game on? on 22:23 - Dec 11 by Herbivore | No. The Tory press would do a hatchet job on whoever is Labour leader. They did the same with Milliband. |
But they couldnt do it with Blair. I cannot stand the **** Blair but it was his personality which won over Tory voters. If you think it's only the press turning people against Corbyn then you're not understanding the situation.

Nah. The smear campaign would be the same whoever. Look at Ed and his bacon sandwich. The last time Labour got in they had more tabloids on their side. That stuff matters (sadly).

Game on? on 22:30 - Dec 11 by lowhouseblue | so when you say "I have lost friends and family members over all of this, and I'm not sorry. I'm glad for the opportunity to see them for what they really are and am grateful that I will never waste another second on any of them." it's just you running out of patience? |
You know what I mean. I am happy to give up when I know I am wasting my time on an idiot. My life is too precious to waste on people I no longer really like. Which is kind of where I am getting to here.

They chose not to do it with Blair, bit different. The Tories were dead at that point, nearly two decades in power and they couldn't even stand each other anymore. It suited the press to support Blair and he was happy to compromise Labour values to win the press over. Milliband was hardly radical but was labelled Red Ed by the press and had his father defamed by them. The fact he couldn't eat a bacon sandwich well got a ridiculous amount of press coverage. Open your eyes.

you replied to funge when he said to me: "Absolutely not your place to pass comment on this, fool." with: "Succinct. To the point. More than fair I'd say." so my reply of: "if you don't want people to pass comment don't post stuff on a public forum." didn't involve any 'cheating or fibbing'. if you really can't follow conversations you're actually involved in it makes it all quite difficult.

It's not your place. In other words, your opinion is not respected here on this matter. No one suggested you couldn't give it a shot. Don't go down your petty route of nonsense with me. I've no interest in your unpleasant games. I witness it everyday and you know what? The only place you're any good at it is inside your own head. Most of us see spite, and more spite. Like I say, excuse me if I duck out, I've spent enough time.
