Derby v Barnsley 20:55 - Jan 2 with 1357 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Rooney laying centre midfield had very little impact until just before half time, superb free kick for Marriott to touch in for 1-0. Barnsley made a tactical sub after about 25 minutes, has been very involved and just scored their equaliser. A big ask for Rooney to make enough difference for them to reach the play offs. Should be enough to save them from a relegation battle, mind.

I miss Waghorn. I liked us having good players.

Like Akinfenwa, did what he needed to do. Set up their first goal and was effective without being athletic. And, in answer to the previous post, yes they did. No longer Frank Lampard's Derby but Wayne Rooney's Derby. All they are talking about post match is him. Didn't realise until tonight Liam Rosenior is now coaching with Derby.

Even had an extended interview with him after the match going on about how everything is all about him. The most cringing bit was just now them talking about him as if he wasn't stood right next to them as they did.

Yes, I was impressed with Barnsley. Worrying that they are languishing in the bottom 3 in the Championship look streets ahead of us. There's a huge void between the bottom of the Championship compared to the top of L1. [Post edited 3 Jan 2020 7:48]

Talksport was no better. TS2 normally focuses on EFL, but it was the Rooney show yesterday too.

Yes, because of a goal we scored against Gillingham 3 months ago apparently.
