Well he is now in the position of should he be sacked, the pay off is massive, I find the timing strange given the position and form we have been in the last 2 months
He may walk ( he has done it before) but then we have yet another manager to save us
I'm not sure what is more concerning, him staying and it not improving or him leaving and we start all over again ( new manager, not his players, blah blah blah)
We can only hope that the new deal was simply to try and stamp Lambert's authority on things. Perhaps it' little more than a slight pay increase and a set amount to pay him off?

All that work is rapidly going to waste and the goodwill earned evaporating quicker than a chocolate fireguard.
Even the 'league 1 tour p!ss the league' divs were always going to turn when they smelled a chance of a lack of promotion. I thought the goodwill he racked up was way out of proportion with what it should have been in the first place and I think we've seen the voice of the doubters getting stronger and picking up waverers to a point where the majority view is now, if not bluntly anti-Lambert, certainly tipping that way.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Clutching at straws...
It would be peak Banter Era if not and we end up sacking him at the end of Feb with full 5 years payoff
Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010

Evans has planned ahead based on staying in League One next season and focusing on steady the ship.
Do you reckon? I'd hope not. We now he's not an adventurous chap be that'd be the equivalent of the mindset with Mick, but in a league lower and eqaully as likely to go the same way.
