I'm not a fan of VAR but if it isn't being applied to every game in the same round it really shouldn't apply.

Yep, it’s annoyingly inconsistent how it’s applied to only PL home matches. Swansea would have likely won their quarter final against Man C last year if they’d have been allowed to use it. They were a test club for it, so there was no reason why they couldn’t use it except this daft inconsistent ruling.
