Trouble is, we're now losing regularly to lower league sides in the league as well. |
The bottom line is that is is going to get worse before it gets better
How many players seem to drop off when here yet spring back to life when elsewhere (Didz). ? Problems seem far deeper. Have we produced a decent keep in the past decade or more ? We are in the 3rd tier so we should be able to produce players via the academy who can make the first team.... yet they are few and far between.
Lambert has been given a five year contract which suggests that Evans has finally grasped that he has been getting it wrong and that it will take a few years to put things right.
Maybe he has been the first to tell Evans what should have been said way back. We have 'flattered to decieve'. Fans thought that automatic promotion was guaranteed, just as we would be 2 games from Wembley today.
We may be able to sign good players on the cheap, but all to often the teason they are cheap is because they are either injury prone or not driven, so will fail to 'turn up' during games.

Let’s be honest, if we’d had a run of wins in the league up to this point the reaction would be far less severe than it is. It’s the league form which increased the importance of yesterday and made failure more difficult to handle. | |
