What a great Test match that was 15:23 - Jan 7 with 899 viewsSteve_M

SA clinging on into the last hour and then finally undone. Really good to see some proper attritional batting by Sibley and Malan too. And then Stokes again, the man is incredible.

Test cricket at it's very best. Brilliant sporting drama.

And to think there are people who want to change it, reduce to 4 days etc.

As is often said, test match cricket is great on pitches which offer something to everyone. This one was a bit unorthodox, but brilliant. enough pace and bounce that the batsmen got value for shots, but edges carried, anough lateral movement ( albeit off 'the crack') to keep the bowlers interested, but possible to stay in if you applied yourself.

Poll: Which is less impressive?

It's all about the money though innit. The Hundred for instance is going to make fortunes for clubs players agents and the governing body.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

The effort they put into getting SA out was very impressive though, on a track that was pretty dead on the last day, unlike what was predicted. When Jimmy pulled up i thought that was it, but Broad and Then Stokes really stepped up and could have had it over earlier.

Stokes is a leg end and a half.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

Fantastic - but all the sadder therefore that it wasn't even on TMS, never mind terrestial TV.

No wonder there's dwindling interest in the 5-day game amongst younger people :(

Poll: Why can't/don't we protest like the French do? 🤔

Yes, 5-day Tests are so boring!

God save us from the cricket administrators.

I don't understand people who don't like cricket. Madness.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.
