Not just POC either, but EU nationals of all backgrounds were openly showing dread and uncertainty before and after. It was very far from the majority of Britain that voted for it.
I think the point you are trying to make is that you are sure many black people voted for it. That is definitely true. That doesn't mean the many who voted against it or were disenfranchised didn't wake up in dread of the inevitable enabling of racists. | |

Yep, I think that if anyone mentions that there was an element of xenophobia behind some of the vote, some leavers will go " How dare you call us all racist, you just don't get it do you?"... if you have any criticisms of how the campaign was conducted, you get thrown in with the bunch that say that all leavers are racist... Likewise, if you quote facts or ask for evidence to back up their claims, apparently it's condascending. |  |
