We must've had a different scouting system back then I think and we'd always get unheard of people from abroad on trial - I used to spend hundreds on Soccerline listening to the latest person coming in - usually an Icelander or someone, who never went on to anything.

I mentioned Hai Ngoc Tran on another thread as someone who I remember hearing about - he randomly turned up in the UEFA Cup on tv one year so he must've ended up decent. There are loads more.
