I'm also half-tempted to have a day drinking in Liverpool given the train tickets are now a sunk cost.

Go to Liverpool and have a day out - it's a cracking city

Alternatively could use it as an excuse to tick off a new ground somewhere and have a random night out - where does your train stop at?

We did the split ticketing so go to Stafford and then to Liverpool Lime Street and then Birkenhead.

What games are there up north up wonder? I’m gonna have a look. It’s meant to be sunny Saturday so I hope it is given a chance. Calling it off tomorrow is useless.

I guess the Stafford to Liverpool train would stop at Crewe who are at home

Liverpool certainly is great for a day on the pop / visit. I'm tempted to visit if the match is off, or Halifax v Maidenhead near me.

There will be a MacLeod tent over the pitch blowing air to dry it from today until the game so we are taking all possible steps to enable the match to go ahead and would expect it to do so.

Its been dry up here for the last 24 hours.... and breezy, and if they've got the tent over it now, shouldn't be a worry if there is any more rain, so I reckon it will definitely be on. Forecast for saturday itself is good too, so they can take it off without a problem.

I'm in the Peak district at the moment and the weather is ok. Bit windy but the weekend is meant to be ok.

I appreciate their drainage is awful there though.
