Don't agree with what he said about the u23 level and that it was miles off first team team football, don't think that does any of the u23's any favours mentally myself, big those lads up as much as possible imo....a bit too honest I think.. |
Alternatively the U-23s hear that and know that they need to work hard in order to develop as players.
'Big them up', as you suggest, and maybe some of them will become complacent. In all walks of life some characters need the carrot and some the stick. |  |
