Proper cheeseburger 16:48 - Jan 19 with 1879 viewsPlums

Last night I was treated to a cheeseburger (on the menu as a cheese stack) which contained no meat but a slab of battered halloumi, Brie and Skegness Blue (what a delight - very creamy) it also had a large onion ring and various burgery salad things. It was splendid.
Have any of our resident cheese fans had similar?
What other blends might work well?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Halloumi burgers are well lush. I thoroughly recommend to meaties and veggies alike. Not tried with the other cheeses though - I'd probably prefer to keep it simple.

hmm when in Prague (pre-Liberec game) I have a 'pivny cyr' in a bar near the castle, same as your thing but also soaked in beer

same place I tried absinthe for the first time, which was a bit like getting a jab at the dentist, couldn't feel my lips by the end

Yes, pivo being Czech for beer. I avoided the absinthe.

I like Halloumi.

I fancy making some cauliflower steaks this week, might do these topped with fried halloumi slices and some paprika.

Battered halloumi? Why would you even do that.

Surely on Valentine's Day you need something that makes the fond grow harder?

Halloumi in lovely in many things.

It's not exactly healthy though, possibly less healthy than a well sourced meat burger.
