Certainly the second scenario would still result in a booking, as I don't think the offence specifies the shirt removal has to be celebratory. It was, I think, introduced because players were revealing slogans on their base layer tops. |  |

Yes in both cases. de Gea was booked on Sunday for example despite the VAR check taking place. |  |

VAR doesn't give the player permission to be abusive, so I would have though the booking would stand.
Likewise, if a player takes his shirt off, the goal being disallowed doesn't mean it's no longer a booking. |  |
