One baffling decision - anyone understand what happened? 06:56 - Jan 26 with 2071 viewsbluelagos

Luckily not an important one I guess. First half - one of our lads was running away from our penalty area and a Lincoln player challenged him.

From my (far away) position - it looked like he fouled him too. So the ref blows up - and then gives a drop ball. Which was uncontested - as in he gave Lincoln the ball.

No one seemed to be injured.

All around me in the Churchman's, no one had a clue what happened. Anyone get a view of it?

Cheers

Ball hit the ref, which is an automatic drop ball - even though he’d ignored this new rule literally seconds beforehand

A new one this season, and ball goes back to the team that kicks it at the ref - even if looking totally misplaced!

What was more shocking was that a league one ref remembered a new law, I can only recall one instance so far this season when a player has left the pitch nearest to where he is standing when substituted.

Or remembered the rule too late so purposely tried to get in the way of the ball to make up for it.

Anyone notice the complete pigs ear made by lino in last minute , Jackson was sure it should have been our throw not only did lino give it to them he allowed them to take it about 15 yards up the pitch. Jackson was still giving him an earfull after the final wistle !

What about Jacksons foul on the defender at Wycombe. The Wycombe goalkeeper moved the ball from the touchline to the edge of his area ( some 10 to 15 yards ahead), thus allowing him to launch the ball further up the pitch for Wycombe to score the equaliser!

In the Shrews v l,pool game today it looked as though Salah passed the ball to Matip when he was just walking along the touchline after just being subbed. As he hadn,t got round to the bench Matip still his playing kit on.
