We've had our pants well and truly pulled down by Millwall here. They did us up a treat both with the 'knee injury' as well as the terms of the loan. They always knew they'd end up signing him on a permanent deal at well below market value.

Poll: Predictions for tonight?

Sad but probably a good thing in the the long run.

Saving his wages and getting a fee makes it less likely we'll have to cash in on Downes and Woolfenden in the near future. Not saying that won't happen as we've still got a large hole to fill after this past couple of seasons - but it does take a little of the pressure off, I'm sure.

Good luck, Bart!

He’s had a lot of time there to prove his worth so he should be worth more than £900K now, surely?

Poll: W or W

Unfortunately Millwall managed to create a scenario, through the recall provisions in the loan, whereby we couldn't properly expose Bart to the open market.

Knowing how much we didn't want his wages back on our books, it was Millwall's fee to dictate.

Undisclosed fees are the norm though, aren't they? There are two clubs involved in the deal. It has to be mutual.

The fact is, what is a transfer fee? what does it consist of? The fee for a buying club is generally far higher than the fee for a selling club. That's why we have undisclosed and why many on here get confused by the figures.

He should have been our No 1 next year in the Championship.

Had a very poor year last year, but after 3 brilliant years had some credit in the bank.

Much better than what we currently have.

I suppose getting him off the wage bill was as important as anything else

He would still have been our highest earner. The real kick in the nuts is the fact we could have sold him for £5 or £6 million a few seasons ago.

It depends on who didn't want the price disclosed...

If it was us it would be too low.
If it was them it would be too high.

Sadly I think it is us. :(

They should be told to say who didn't want the price announced.

Undisclosed is becoming the norm. Usually, because there is no accurate transfer fee and it's higher for the buying club.

We haven't disclosed a transfer fee in about a decade
