Ipswich Women on 20:00 - Jan 27 with 1611 views | Oldsmoker | I've always been a big fan of Ipswich and a very big fan of women so I can safely say I've always supported The Tractor Girls by association. However, I haven't got a poster of one of the players on my bedroom wall (yet).

Ipswich Women on 20:10 - Jan 27 with 1573 views | SomethingBlue | I think if you are a Town fan you are automatically a fan of ITFC Women. That's exactly as it should be. Their current success should be a joy for us all.

Ipswich Women on 21:26 - Jan 27 with 1453 views | bournemouthblue | What sort of following are we likely to bring to Man City's reserve stadium then? The women are doing great and there's clearly an appetite within the club for them to work the way up the leagues, didn't the Youth Team go quite a long way in the Women's Youth Cup last year? There's clearly talent there and they should reach the 3rd tier next season (fingers crossed) Man City will be a massive step up, I assume we are likely to get a bit of a pumping?

Ipswich Women on 08:10 - Jan 28 with 1191 views | Guthrum | Ideally never. At some point we all jumped on the ITFC bandwagon, attracted through family, friends, local connections or just success on the pitch. Same with women's football. It formerly had low status and only a small number of hard-core fans. But as its profile rises, it's not surprising that more supporters will begin following the game. And it is not unreasonable for people to begin taking an interest in something which, while it has already been around for some time, is also fairly "new on the scene" in terms of media coverage and so forth.

They are likely to get quite a beating, yes. Man City are the best womens team in the country(maybe joint with Chelsea), but what an experience it will be for our team.

Well, as the only other nicknames ITFC ever seem to have had in my lifetime are "Blues" or "Town", I think "Tractor Boys" is something of an upgrade.

Ipswich Women on 17:35 - Jan 28 with 961 views | monytowbray | I think we should remove the idea that someone did something before it was cool and just embrace the fact Women's football is starting to get some recognition. Could genuinely see a women's decent little league setup, industry and following coming together within the next couple of decades. Televised games, dedicated stadiums (or full use of the same stadium), etc. Of course, money will ruin it eventually I'd imagine. [Post edited 28 Jan 2020 17:35]
