Driving the short trip down with GB Jnr and one of his Celtic supporting uni pals. 2-1 Ipswich.

Recommended away pub?

There are a few away friendly pubs mate.

Some don’t allow colours.

Sunderland have been doing a fanzone thing which allows home and away fans in.

Massive roadworks on the A19 around Testos roundabout (just south of the Tyne Tunnel). Coming from your way I would probably go down the A1 and take the A194 turn off for South Shields, go along towards Shields then take A182 down to the A1231

It will probably save you a bit of time stuck in traffic on the A19. But you will hit traffic on the A1231, but there is football parking along there.

Tip my hat to those making that journey. Respect, love and a safe trip.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

I shall be there. Not sure there is a pub for all to share. Think most are just doing their own thing. I shall be in the Ship for a while and then take it from there.

I'm saying 1-2 Town win. There needs to be, no, has to be a reaction to last week.

You can say that about pretty much every away game for the last 3 seasons, but we still travel. Away games are always better than home games. We always travel in hope rather than expectation.

The ones on away guides look interesting to say the least judging off streetview!

I'll let you know if a decent one gets found.

Agree but this is 5 hours away in February with a storm coming. I'll be at Wimbledon on Tuesday but tomorrow is a really hard sell imo.

Mr Bluebell will be there but in the posh seats of the home end. He has never been to an away game in his life where he has not been in the Town end so it will be an experience for him.

As he is with a group of Sunderland supporting golf friends I decided not to make the journey.

He is wearing his new black and red Fisons retro shirt under his sweater!
