Sunderland - Still have Fleetwood, Coventry, Peterborough and Rotherham to play

Rotherham - Still have Coventry, Wycombe, Portsmouth and Sunderland to play

Peterborough - Still have Portsmouth,Coventry and Sunderland to play

Coventry - Still have Rotherham, us, Wycombe and Peterborough

Wycombe - Still have Coventry and Rotherham to play

Fleetwood - Still have Portsmouth X2 , Sunderland, Us and Rotherham to play

Rotherham and Fleetwood look to have the hardest run in, Wycombe have an easier run in than us!

What happened it’s Oxford?

Portsmouth won't finish top 6. They'll finish bottom half.

Wycombe won't be in playoffs either.

You are as strange as the OP, bigging up your team at every chance and now claiming they won't even finish in the top half.

As for how the OP thinks they and Sunderland will finish top two … crazy!

Coventry (they've only lost three games this season)
Rotherham
--------------
Ipswich
Peterborough
Sunderland
Portsmouth

Only have us in third because of our run in and the fact that the others in the top eight will have to take points off each other.

The good news is that the Pompey and Sunderland fans have exactly the same expectations as us - so lot's of pressure all round.

The flip side of Coventry only losing 3 games is that they have only won 15 which is fewer than the other 3 of the current top 4. It is wins more than draws that are critical now. In fact if when they play each other the other top sides draw and we win that is the ideal for us.

The critical thing for all of the top 8 is to win as many games as possible. Draws obviously help but not as much as a win.

I stopped taking him with any seriousness when he shared a version of the league table based on a pointless metric to claim we should be near relegation when we were too by several points.

Isn’t the point of that metric to illustrate which teams are potentially over or underperforming, and therefore might expect things to even out somewhat? And given that we’ve subsequently slid down the table, posters expressing concern over those stats may have had a point, no?

It's difficult to ignore them so think that Coventry and Sunderland will fight out top two places.
As for the rest it's going to be very interesting. Rotherham look strong, but other 3 places could be anyones. I don't think we'll be there as played too many games and our form is very uncertain so expect us to come up short again with top 8 sides i.e. Portsmouth Coventry Fleetwood.

It's easy to pick out Rotherham because they have hit the top and are on form but it is theirs to throw away. They have experience of getting across the line too. I think they will win the league.

I can see the argument for Coventry or Peterborough joining them. Sunderland, Wycombe and Portsmouth are outside bets for me. The points are more valuable than games in hand. I would love us to win most of the rest of our games while the rest mess it up but it isn't going to happen is it?

This really is in our hands isn't it.

Relegation looks all but sorted. So we will in effect be playing mid table sides + Fleetwood. If we can recapture the beat everyone else form of early season we have a real (possibly undeserved chance).

Hopefully the 8 home games will really fire us into the mix.

Eh? We have Cov, Fleetwood and Portsmouth. I would also add Oxford in as one of the top sides in div. Our key advantage is the weighting to home games but we have to be winning them!

It won't be undeserved. You get what you deserve across the season.

Sunderland will win the league with the form they are in.

Won six of the last eight, drawn one, lost one and only let in two goals in that entire run. Seems to have clicked for them but the run in is not the nicest. Given our performances against the teams around us, we should be able to push for top two.

They're 7th in the current form table though and behind Coventry, Rotherham, Peterbrough and Pompey.
