Line Up v Leeds 09:53 - Feb 19 with 1678 viewsOhDavidMcgoldrick

Not to open a debate on Lambert's planning for this season once relegation was confirmed in 18/19.

But how many players were in the starting line up on the last day v Leeds, that played in the last Saturday's game v Burton?

I have obviously looked up the answer, but an interesting teaser if any want to hazard a guess without looking.

Just Chambers and Downes?

Edit: I looked it up, hadn't been sure that Judge played and had forgotten that Jackson played at all.

Precisely what I was questioning last season before the leeds game. There was no plan at all or foundations laid for this season

I have looked up the team to check but ...

Surely the question is more how many were in the line up that Lambert could have foreseen as potentially being here and how many are still involved with the club now.

3 were loans of whom he might have thought it possible to get them back but none of the 3 was that likely to be. GK we really needed to move on but the options we now have in that position were not available then unless he played Wright (an option arguably assuming he was fit at the time). All the others were still at the club at the start of the season and I believe still are employees of the club anyway.

Chambers, Downes and Judge, with Jackson coming on.

Decent spine to plan a league one campaign with.

Or, to put it another way, 7 changes.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
