Ok maybe my thoughts came across completely wrong, trying to put into context some of my comments.
Yes there is a small minority of racist people in this country there is no denying that, but it is a small minority and there is no need for pop stars who influence some of the more easily influenced people in society to bring this up and make such a big deal out of this on mainstream tv as they did last night, it’s quite frankly doing nothing more than stoking the fire of a them and us culture amongst other black or ethnic people who follow them and listen to their music. We didn’t see all of the female artists on the brits going on about feminism in the same way and having as I said “a chip on their shoulder” about it, the gender inequality in this country is being dealt with as is the racism issue and this has come along way over the last 10-15 years. |
Nice one for adding some context, though I don't agree with your basic premise. It just needs calling out more than ever, on whatever platform. Society can't dampen the fires as you call it in the hope it goes out on its own. It won't, and "moving on" needs to come from the "victims" rather than anyone else. |  |

I’m with bully here. I lived in bury park in Luton and that was my experience and that ease last century. There are plenty of communities as such.

I was born in Luton and grew up in my younger years in Hounslow and Bully is correct. Most large cities especially oop north have large areas of non integration.
There would also be murders (literally) if a white man tried to marry into certain communities. Racism certainly isn't one way.

Pop along Whitton in Birmingham. There are areas consisting of far more than just one street. I have lived there and indeed experienced what it is like to be a minority there, which ta times was not pleasant.
But what that has to do with anything really is beyond me. |
However, being in a minority is not the same as experiencing racism. I can quite imagine that living in such an area in a predominantly white country when you are white probably feels a bit uncomfortable. And if you then face discrimination as a result of your skin colour then that is racism and should be called out as such. However, merely feeling uncomfortable isn't the same thing and you still won't experience the same structural and institutional racism that black people face on a national (even global) scale. |  |

When you consider the billions of people in the world, I imagine that a similar average (I'm assuming we're talking about intelligence rather than IQ specifically, which is well known to be a flawed measure of intellect) is really not out of the question.
I am however slightly uncomfortable with aggregating "black people" and "white people" in monolithic blocks, if for no other reason than not wanting to be conflated with all the "white people" I know and dislike, so I'll leave it there. | |
