Old School Astro Trainers 17:32 - Feb 19 with 1739 views | Marshalls_Mullet | I have classic Puma King astro 'all round' football trainers at present. The soles are a bit chunky. I play on 3g five a side pitches. Does anyone play on 3G with moulded studs / soles, is that better? Any downside?

Exactly those. As long as it is a proper 3g pitch, you will feel the difference in grip. If just an artificial pitch, then they do a trainer version for that as well. Lovely boot.

Might go for these bad boys; https://www.adidas.co.uk/copa-20.3-multi-ground-boots/EG1613.html Think youre right on going for the boot rather than the trainer.

Seem to have quite a thick sole like my Kings.

I had a pair of them and they were a very tight fit. If you have a wider foot, then these are not the boot to buy. The predator gives a slightly wider toe. If you don't struggle with that, then you should be fine.

I do have a wide foot, Puma seem good for that. Back to square one maybe!

Hi Tec are probably the best wide foot trainers, I have a pair of squash, but I couldn't find a pair of moulded studs for 3g by them. There normal football boots are fantastic.

They are alright for the posers , but if you let your football do the talking, then the predator is the better boot.

Fantastic boot maker. If they do a moulded stud, then you should consider them.

Only those who think they can play wear them. You will do well to steer clear.

Can’t see which version as I’m on a crap connection, but the last pair of boots I bought my boy were Copa. The ones with genuine leather uppers, all black. About £45-50 I think. They’ve been excellent boots - wider than Nike. Moulded studs is the way to go for 3/4G pitches. All the kids teams use them around here.

On my younger days I had a blue pair of predator for when we played in our home kit and a red pair for when we played in our away kit. What a w***ker

Old School Astro Trainers on 19:47 - Feb 19 with 1501 views | Pecker | Hi Tec do a pair. I can't do that copy and paste stuff, but if you put in Hi Tec moulded football boots, they give you 2 options. I have just ordered a pair. I shall report back on Fridayish.
