Throw Bishop into the mix. Our only positive right now is the academy production, whether the manager has the faith in them is a different matter entirely.

Holy
Kvy woolf (little chance) cb Nydam

Downes (little chance) Huws

With that team I'd be happy to have Chambers as the CB

Is Dozzell out of contract this summer? If so then surely he will be fed up of being a bench option in league One and will leave?

Poll: Should Lambert be sacked today?

Dozzell will be long gone. Drinan will find his level in non-league. Apart from that these are fair shouts and if Lankester is fully recovered he'll be a big plus.

Both of those are a gamble. Sink or swim time Dozzell should be given every game this season to put him to the test

Lankester and Dobra either side of Norwood will do for me next season!

A midfield three of Nolan, Bishop and Huws is more than competitive as well (if they can stay fit)

No, we will activate the option of a further year.

But he's bound to be frustrated, so I would expect him to be sold.

Nydam should be a potential replacement for Downes.

Cannot play up front on his own for me and I am still of the opinion will be snapped up by a lower champ club as an effective bench option

How far away is McGavin from stepping up?

Looked like a younger version of Skuse when I saw the EFL trophy games

Why?

Only Toni has been involved in more goals than Jackson this season.

I think Nydam is possibly wasted at lb but I want him in the side. He was excellent away to leeds in a cam role. He has the talent to play multiple positions, the new stockwell

He still has numerous flaws to his game but has a value so we can sell him to rebuild

Brilliant. I needed a laugh today.

What system are we playing to accommodate Lankester, El Mizouni and Dobra week in week out by the way?

Lankester has played a handful of games, looked reasonably good and will be coming back off a season out. When do we ever have players that come back from an injury like that and then play every week? Bishop? Huws? Adeyemi? For some reason when players spend a year out here they never seem to come back.

Dobra and El Mizouni have looked okay in the Checkatrade Trophy. Neither made any real impact in the League, which is why they've vanished from the bench.

Dozzell literally cannot get anywhere near the team on a regular basis and he's had a lot of chances. This season he's just not being trusted to come on in games having done so little with those previous chances.

Drinan has done what exactly in Non-League and in the Scottish Lower Leagues?

Nydam - see Lankester. Someone that went to Scotland, didn't get a look in and has now been out injured for how long?

I'd say the likes of Hughes and Smith and maybe even McGavin and Clements are more likely to be regulars in the first team than some of these now.

Drinan is done here, Dozzell will look to move on and there's no way we end up with a team build around youngsters. Their paths will be blocked with the usual journeyman squad filler - Wellens, Douglas, Best, Coke, Wilson, Keane.

What happens if that does not work out ? We now seemed conditioned that it is now our only option is to put a team of young players out because Marcus Evans will not recruit quality players anymore.
First, we must remove the tired legs and dead wood at this club.

Drinan leading the line in League One, a division he's never done anything in, ahead of 10 goal Norwood, 10 goal Jackson, proven League One player Huws, Keane or even Folami, Morris or Simpson or even a new signing.

Have a day off Trig!

LMAO.

When do we ever sell anyone to rebuild?

We sell. Then we paper over the cracks with whatever we can find in a skip.

Definitely enough talent in the squad, even with the inevitable losses that a lack of promotion will bring (Downes, Woolfy, probably Dozzell, possibly Jackson). We do, however, need the right manager in place to get the best out of them, to play a certain system and have a plan in place and trust in them.
