I think most would agree that the Accrington away game was where it all started going wrong. We are 13th in that table. An added bonus is that we are the team who has played most games in that period. Other teams have played 19-22 games. If you look at the teams below us, giants like MK Dons, Shrewsbury and Lincoln they could easily be above us based on a 23 game table.

My point? Not really sure. Other than a stark snapshot of just how poor we have been. Our blip was the 11 game run at the start of the season where we looked good. There is virtually zero chance we make the play offs and next season we will likely have sold KVY, Downes and Woolf.

So for the few remaining wondering why people are so angry/depressed, there it is.

I was willing to see it as a blip and a poor run for too long. It is far more than that now.

For those saying we’re too good to go down, that’s the start reality. For the bulk of this season we’ve been only just better than relegation form.

A guess that we’ll sell our three best players, one of whom has been injured since October and will play a handful of games before the end of the season, if that?

Sadly, it appears that the 'blip' in the Lambert era was the start of this season.

What I find even more horrific is that we scored only 25 goals in that 23 game period and 11 of those came in 3 games so that’s 14 goals in the other 20, therein lays our problem
