The Suffolk Vegan list 12:13 - Mar 3 with 1835 viewsmonytowbray

I'm trying to make a localish guide to Suffolk and the best vegan spots to visit as I often get asked by anyone heading that way where to eat (us vegans network innit).

So far I have...

Ipswich:
TFI Vegan
Hanks Deli
Hanks Pub
Hullaballoo

Bury St. Edmunds:
Allison's Eatery
Edmundos (not exclusively vegan but does a vegan menu)

Sudbury:
Cradle
Kind Cuisine

Others:
The Vegetarian Red Lion (Veggie with vegan options)

Anything I'm missing? Do any of the coastal spots or places out Newmarket way have anything?

Three years ago I'd have thought it would be madness to ask on here but it seems more of you are getting veg-curious if not gone most or full veg-sexual. I'm so proud*

*PS. TOLD YOU SO ;)

Maharani curry house in Ipswich has a vegan menu.

Obv not for hardcore vegans as they do serve meat too!

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

I thought that closed and become the Veggie Red Lion? Or is it the other way round?

I thought they moved from Red Lion to Thwaite? Haven't been passed the red lion in years to see if it is still open

I'm sure it was one way or the other, I've never been but well aware it is there and heard good things.

There is a new vegan deli / food store opening in Stowmarket around Eastertime, also likely to offer outside catering too.

The people running the Veggie Red Lion relocated to The Walnut Tree. The Red Lion reopened as The Vegetarian Red Lion with new owners soon after.

You're better off just going to Norwich, vegan capital of the UK.

The Grazing Sheep on the waterfront has decent vegan options too - we go there a fair bit and Mrs Dub is always happy.

On that note, I need to book another visit for me and Mrs Dub to Benedicts.

Have you ever been to Vanilla Black in London? Had a sensational vegan tasting menu there a couple of months back.

I haven't but I've heard good things. My last visit to Benedicts was actually quite disappointing. Worth considering Roger Hickman's, I found them much better on my last two visits and I hate to say that as I loved Benedicts.
