Perhaps we need a German Manager? 00:49 - Mar 11 with 1799 viewsharlingblue

Perhaps we need a German Manager, with good contacts, and coaching staff, prepared to give youth a chance, moulded with key older/experienced players, and with a definite style of play.
Instead we have a Manager that lives in his own past experience in The German League, but has nothing to give to ITFC apart from being a very good PR man.
I am Ipswich Town through and through, so sorry if it has a 'Nodge feel', please add a Mananger, plus coaching staff that you think could brighten up our 'love of football' and get Town more upward?

David Wagner. We would get loan dibs on all Liverpool's top youngsters.

Lambert is German isn't he?

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?

You're missing the bigger point about Norwich and Huddersfield. They put a structure in place first and appointed a manager within that. We're expecting Lambert and O'Neill to have done all of that in a year and a half without funding.

And when Lambert goes then we'll start all over again making big changes to the first team squad.

Maurice Steijn , Dutch coach, took Venlo up to Dutch Eridvidsie and kept them there. Was linked to Town pre Hurst and said nice things but us (tho was probably only to boost his new contract negotiations with Venlo at the time. ) Would know alot of Dutch div 2 players that could do a job for us, plus the whole Dutch connection with Towns past would be a plus. One negative is after Venlo got sacked (or resigned?) after 13 games with some Saudi outfit. Would still give him a chance over the continuous failed old names that constantly jump on and off the manager merry go round here tho.

We just need a football manager. Any nationality/gender/ race. Just a football manager.

Lambert's played for a big club in Germany, apparently. Does that count?

This is the point.
It isn't necessarily PL. PH made it plain there were deep seated problems in the Clubs structure & maybe he was bagged for that rather than his failures on the field of play.
The indications that things were not right when Mr E bought the club, not having sound football advice he has gone slowly from bad to worse. It needs to be halted but you are entirely correct just changing the manager isn't going to do anymore than put a patch on the punctured tube

I'd go a bit further and suggest that as Lambo knows more about football than anyone else at the club and has good PR skills he might be earmarked for a 'director of football job' at some point within his five years. It might actually suit him

Please don't let this happen. The sooner he is out of our club the better.

Yep, Päul Lßmbert.

Or we could go down the route of a continental flair coach, a Dutch master like Schteve Mcclaren.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
