I’ve been very critical of him in the past but I thought he was impressive in his press conference.
It just re-enforces what a disgrace Trump is.
Very concerning stats though.

In theory a Technocracy would work so much better than a democracy. But it wouldn't be very, what's the word?, democratic.

But think of the raves man! Whoop, whoop!

It was an absolute breath of fresh air to hear proper knowledgeable scientists, talking rationally, honestly and clearly- and accepting when answers aren't happy ones, or when there isnt an answer- without so much as a hint of prevarication, obfuscation, spin etc etc

The contrast between the crap we get out of politicians daily on this and every other issue, is extraordinary.

It would have been No 10 who would have agreed to the presser format, including Witty and Valance approach.

Not a fan of BoJo, it was though a rare reassuring display of leadership.

Impressive is stretching it: he is still a charlatan and a lying pr1ck, but in this instance he knows that he can't lie about this virus. He can't chuck throw away lines to the press and never be challenged. He can't just say "piffle paffle". He can't just talk lots without saying anything. He simply can't make stuff up or avoid the issue. This is an unavoidable issue. No hiding from it. It is factual and can't be made into a joke or swatted away. So for once in his life, he did look a little like what he supposed to be: a serious politician.

My words better said by John Crace about his press conference:
The responsibility is weighing heavy. He isn’t used to being held accountable for anything — his whole life up till now has been an exercise in self-indulgence — but he knows that he will be forever judged by the decisions he makes now. The smirking clown might have worked well for Brexit, but now the country is demanding a serious leader.

I said all along Johnson has seen this job as his life goal and thought it would all be ego juice for him. Now it seems he's lumped a job no PM would want. Trump is similar.
