ULEZ 08:07 - Mar 13 with 653 views | hampstead_blue | Anyone here having to sell a car because of the ULEZ extension? Talking to a friend in Islington who has a couple of classic Fords, Capri and Escort (Yeah baby!) and he's seriously thinking of selling as the cost just to have it taxed will be ridiculous.
| Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

ULEZ on 08:28 - Mar 13 with 594 views | ElephantintheRoom | I sold my highly economic diesel audi and replaced it with a gas guzzling new rs4 which seems to be acceptable, despite being much worse for the environment and my wallet. Your point about 'classic cars' is a good one. In China any car over 8 years old is scrapped.... which wont do much for the classic car market over there. It may well be that eco-warriors will destroy our fettish with old cars.... or force the rule makers to garage them at their second homes in the country.

ULEZ on 08:32 - Mar 13 with 584 views | Coastalblue | I changed mine last year. I had a relatively new and clean Audi which I couldn't really justify owning any more, I drive a fair bit less these days and also wanted the money out of it. Bought a ratty old high mileage Renault, figures suggest it's far worse for the environment but as it's petrol it is actually ULEZ compliant. I live right in the middle of the new zone.
