I saw them live at baths hall in ipswich with my mate Eddy the chord, the place was half empty it was the time when everybody was in to tamla mowing time and soul music from the states, I was ever so young i think i went in my school uniform with short trousers, i am laughing a lot i was about seventeen. I'm ever so pleased with my new loo roll set up.

I was once trying to finish off a set of management accounts whilst Jean-Jacques Burnel was sound checking downstairs. Impossible, I gave up, felt like the building was about to take off.

One of Peter Cook's opening remarks reminded me that the other day when I was buying birdseed and found the rest of the supplies for bird table had been panic bought I said to the man behind the counter 'I wish I had some fat balls in my hand as well'.
Apparently I have to go to dinner with him when this is all over...

I feed hedgehogs with meal worms apparently they are like crisps to them.
I've been practising my boogie woogie for hours, all in different keys it drives me mad, the man has enormous testicalia sit two yards away from him when you dine wid heum.

Sad day for Cameroon, first musician I know of taken by Covid-19, only time I saw him was the same weekend I saw Hugh Masekela for the first time. Time is not always kind when you think of the things we no longer have with us
