how public sector workers, who have been denigrated and had their income reduced over the past ten years, are now national heroes. Is it too much to hope that perhaps in future they are treated with more respect by those who work in the private sector and think they are pampered?

Don't get your hopes up.

The next however long this all takes will be used as leverage for another decade or two of crippling austerity.

Public sector workers do not live in the real world come home when they want no real deadlines as they don't make money like in the private sector, too many had it too easy in the public sector

So you're telling us all the NHS staff on the frontline who are underpaid, and already working long shifts before this, are lazy?

Flexible working. More common in the private sector.

Good luck to your sons with such a bellend of a dad.

Good attempted troll.

Got in the big city, dull job and hated job.

Given your general standard of English I fear for your clients if you are an accountant.

I work in the private sector.

I'm shocked at the liberties people take and the sheer waste.

So what's your point? That human organisations are inherently wasteful and that people will try to avoid effort?
