the obvious thing is to cancel but I feel bad for them. Is it wrong to half half money to not turn up?

Makes sense but do you intend to keep doing that throughout?

They shall continue to tend to their duties as normal but only in the East wing. One of the more agreeable ones shall be chosen for the family quarters in due course.

Our's is excellent and we've had the one for years, so I suspect we'll offer to carry on paying. She's extremely work proud so may not accept. I don't know whether the government measures mentioned yesterday would be available to her - that will probably help make the decision for us.

Edit - just to add, we're self isolating so that's why we kept her away this week. Longer term we may well just carry on as normal.

It's important to chose wisely when one is required to buff your personal chattels.

Quite. Last year we had to reprimand one of the more 'exotic' ones with a poker for lingering too long over the mangle.

Think she would be very upset if I let her go. She owns half of everything, so I think a legal battle would be on the cards. Cheaper to keep her, she is the mother of my kids after all.
