...Had to go into Town to buy a few items before visiting a sick relative in hospital for what could be the last time for a while and have to say I was shocked to what I saw, it seems that the ghost nature of many streets has resulted in a rise of anti-social behaviour.
Many streets are deserted but there's a smattering of youths everywhere drunk or high on stuff and a lot of anti social behaviour, people screaming about the coronavirus hoax and clearly with no respect for social distancing, calling people names, shouting abuse.
Couple of lads having a fight over a girl and spitting in each others faces, another guy went up to some passers by and coughed heavily in their faces, pumping his chest out and bumping into them deliberately and another bunch of chavs outside Kaspas looking hard and acting the maggot and another guy approaching a girl who wouldn't take no for an answer who ran off scared
I know Ipswich is not the best of places anyway, but seeing all this in broad daylight in the afternoon with relatively little normal people around shocked me. I hope that this is not representative of what we are going to see on our streets as things get worse where anyone who has to go out for supplies etc is subjected to this kind of stuff from people who think it's all one big joke. I work not far away from the Town centre and to be fair, I haven't seen this kind of thing during the week but then again I'm working during the day so I have no idea if this is what it's like when I'm at work, but doesn't seem that bad at 8am in the morning or at 5pm in the evening.
I did see a couple of Ipswich central guys talking to a group of lads (no idea if they had done anything mind) but generally it wasn't a comfortable feeling, but I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, most sensible people are probably indoors unless they have to shop so you're always going to have the loons left. | |
