This is has all been a long play APril Fool's joke hasn't it. |
My worst one was when I was teaching. We staged some fake conversations in the days leading up "School on Saturdays? That's outrageous" in the corridors to sow the seed.
Then we printed some fake newspaper reports and told the kids School was to be extended to Saturdays. (Yr 6s) Then we got them to do some rather good persuasive letters to the head.
All good, except the lesson went over a break. The kids shared the news with the Yr 4s and 5s. By lunchtime we had parents phoning in to complain about it too.
Had to arrange an emergency assembly to explain it wasn't real and that it was an April Fool prank.
I wasn't too popular with the head that day. | |
