I have the Lurgy 11:11 - Mar 29 with 3977 views | Oldsmoker | Oh well, c'est la vie. Been feeling a bit different since Friday. So far, warm cheeks, a few aches, dry cough and feeling a bit stoned although I haven't had a smoke in 2020. Not much of temperature and no headache. It seems to go away for a few hours making me think I'm over it and then it come backs. The symptoms are mild so far and if they stay like this then I've dodged a bullet as I have emphysema. My breathing is fine. I have only gone out twice in the last 2 weeks so I'm wondering when I caught it and how long my incubation period was. I have 10 cans of soup so that's my go to food at the mo. Will post tomorrow with an update.

Cream of Tomato - favourite. Cream of Mushroom and chicken. + Scotch broth as that was all that was left of a near-empty shelf.

| Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me.
Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing.
Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial.
Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid.
Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

Bristol. There's a convenience store 3 doors away so I can get the basics - he doesn't do many perishables. The freezer is stuffed with frozen whole Chickens, pizzas, peas, sweet corn, ice cream. I've got loads of pasta and rice. I'm well stocked.

Best hold your nose and get through the scotch broth first then you have something to look forward to as you recover.

No. An seemingly endless stock of those. I only have chicken to use with it now. I roast the chicken, have a roast meal and then get a fork and pull all the remaining chicken off the carcass. That's another 3 meals as I cook the shredded chicken in a Partak sauce or a sausage casserole mix accompanied by rice or pasta or mashed spuds..

Fingers crossed. Like Smoker I’ve had very mild symptoms since a Friday. Sore throat, very light and infrequent dry cough, back of my neck went very hot Friday but that hasn’t happened since. Like smokers it seems to come and go. Mostly affects me at night. I’ve been painting for three days whilst off work so it could be the fumes but can’t take any chances so I’ve put the Mrs in the spare room and taken to my bed. Got an en suite so there’s no need to have any contact with anyone else in the house until this has gone.

I had a funny chest a couple of weeks ago - felt like it was full of liquid though didn’t have a cough or shortness of breath. Also had a couple of days of a runny nose which I dismissed at the time as hay fever and a bout of headaches. All gone now and probably wasn’t it.

I have the Lurgy on 12:40 - Mar 29 with 2598 views | Guthrum | Bear in mind there's the usual selection of winter illnesses around as well, not necessarily C-19. Even of the people being tested (i.e. those admitted to hospital with symptoms), 70% are coming back negative.

That's the first thing they say when they come in the door? 'Bloody hospitals, bloody doctors, bloody nurses' or the like? This country...

The numbers right now are still low in this region aren't they?

I presume your comment about the convenience store doesn't mean you intend to pop there yourself at all. Should be able to get someone to deliver something for you if you need it. Local councils have generally set something up for this. My son has started coughing as of last night so I will be in the same boat (but for longer unless I get ill). Hope you remain with mild symptoms and are soon fully better.
