Many years ago, I once managed to blow the main fuse for an entire block of flats while trying to mend an electric oven. Had to wait for an engineer from the electricity board to come out and fix it, with lots of angry people staring at me.
Didn't say much for the fuses on the individual flats, tho. |  |

I’ve ordered a new fan. Whilst getting frustrated with how long it’s taking to cook this Sunday roast I hit the back of the oven with the oven tray. Fan whirred into life. Definitely needs a new one I would. Probably bearings. Certainly noisier than it should be. | |

I repaired the fan on my daughters oven once by spraying WD40 in the bearing and spinning it by hand to work it in, they are pretty simple to get to, getting the part may be the most difficult part, unless you have a local shop that is still open. |  | | |
