Watch them try and blame this on Covid-19 rtaher than years of reckless spending.

But only recently Jim White on Talksport said they were a great example of a well run club.

They really are a pack of cards at the moment, won't take much to knock them off course

They are on to their 3rd buyer lined up and trying desperately to get one over the line.

They risked everything on promotion and it has backfired spectacularly. The stadium thing looks like it will be dropped but they also bent rules around write down of players that resulted in signing out of favour players on new deals until the next season and then giving a free transfer shortly after.

In fairness, it wasn't exactly a short term gamble at promotion - they have had 7 seasons or so when should be there or thereabouts and not to get up is very unlucky. But after a splurge and a chase like that, with new FFP rules it does seem to now be a case of needing to press the reset button.

They have some fine prospects coming through, but just saddled with too many high earners they won't be able to shift.

Another club that have turned into a mini monster. Used to be a decent club with decent fans but the last couple of trips they seemed way above their station.

Will be lovely watching them in the toilet in a few years time

Or is Morris trying to take advantage of COV19 to get a £30m cash injection falling outside of FFP? You'd like to think the authorities would substantiate that this loan was needed. I would assume Mel Morris would personally secure it.

Ive been waiting for this lot to go the same way as Bolton for a number of years now. If ever a Club deserves to be wound up up it’s Derby County, for their reckless season on season spending in an attempt to buy promotion. I hope it catches up with them very very soon.

I remember nearly spitting my drink out when I heard him say that.
