He probably hasn’t had to sit in an ICU, with an elderly relative that is in a coma from pneumonia, and listening to doctors weighing up whether, due to past/underlying health conditions, it is worth spending lots more money trying to save that relatives life.
Then six months, and ten years later be going on 30 mile bike rides with that relative.

That's similar to a story they had on LBC last week were a number of professors from various Countries were saying the world shouldn't lock down re CV and let it take its course as the vast majority will be the elderly. Their point was the damage being done to the world economy will result in younger people having to pay for it including all the borrowing and that will lead to more deaths than from CV. So while life is more important by trying to save a load of elderly people now you'll end up killing twice as many younger people having to pay for a crashed economy |  | | |
