I recall him and the much shorter less elegant Craig Reid. Thought they would both come to something but neither of them made it with us.

Liam Craig had a decent career given he. played 450+ games in Scotland (depending on how you view the level of the Scottish leagues...)

Billy Clarke also missed the final, so arguably our two best players were out.

Saw a team sheet the other day from an FA Youth Cup semi final between Man Utd and Man City from the mid-80s. Not one Utd player made it professionally, one from City did.
