The US advice is still being disagreed with here though - a professor from Oxford was on the BBC earlier saying it's only really effective if you have the disease to stop it spreading, not the other way round.

People are staying apart in the park but if you're sitting in the sun and not moving or exercising the police are moving you on.
Some people still not getting it though. Groups sat 2m apart having lunch talking. Ie. 3 groups of two girls. Police moved them on.
Generally could be far worse though.

Given that many people have the disease but have no symptoms, yet they can still spread it, then face masks could make quite a bit difference. Maybe that's a way out of the current isolation. |  | | |

I know at the beginning of this the idea was banded about a bit at my local.
It has an enormous garden with a copious amount of benches so theoretically on a sunny day half a dozen friends, (arriving there independently), could sit on their own bench and chat well away from each other no problem.
But the glasses have to be filled of course, (arguably the glasses would be fine from a dishwasher and hopefully the owner would wash his hands thoroughly before touching them), but then it would be cash only, and that's not the cleanest of transactions. Toilets would need to be used.
Too many variables to ensure its safety for everyone there I reckon. | |

She should be banned from ever holding a drinks license again. Trouble is that if that happened she'd just put the license in somebody else name.
