Is anyone else actually quite enjoying this lockdown or am I a weirdo? 17:06 - Apr 21 with 5629 views | Lord_Lucan | And before anyone starts throwing things at me I fully appreciate some people are in awful situations, a point that I have often mentioned and I also fully appreciate that some people have lost loved ones and or are dead. But I have to say personally I'm finding it quite soothing at the moment.

Is anyone else actually quite enjoying this lockdown or am I a weirdo? on 08:12 - Apr 22 with 1310 views | GeoffSentence | There are some positives for sure. Hardly any traffic, peace and quiet, fresh unpolluted air. The wildlife is getting bolder in the Ipswich-Shotley-Sudbury Golden Triangle. I am lucky to be in a position to enjoy the positives, still working, was already WFH so no change there and have the countryside on my doorstep.

Is anyone else actually quite enjoying this lockdown or am I a weirdo? on 09:21 - Apr 22 with 1275 views | RobTheMonk | We're on the edge of the Cotswolds, both working from home (not much on though). However, come 4pm, we both go for a walk - 5 minutes from our house and it's like The Shire from Lord of The Rings. That it's been beautiful weather for the last month is a huge bonus.

The weather has been a massive bonus. I would imagine lockdown in the middle of winter would be a far less enjoyable proposition.

Is anyone else actually quite enjoying this lockdown or am I a weirdo? on 09:39 - Apr 22 with 1259 views | ElephantintheRoom | Erm no, far from it. As one of thousands up and down the country who was fully aware of the disaster about to fall on those dependent on 'care in the community' I am utterly appalled at this callous incompetent government which still does not seem to realise the scale of the disaster it has engineered - and made worse through an ill thought out partial lockdown. In a non-existant lockdown where I and many others have to go shopping three times more than i used to and then queue up at pharmacies to get medicines and then see what is going on in cares homes and sheltered acoomodation - every day I feel more strongly that this government is not far short of murdering its own citizens... not to mention those underpaid, under-appreciated people who struggle to care for eople in the best of times - let alone the worst of times. Your smug ignorance is shameful

Is anyone else actually quite enjoying this lockdown or am I a weirdo? on 10:03 - Apr 22 with 1234 views | BrixtonBlue | I'm loving it. Just moved in with the missus so still in that nice warm fuzzy stage... and we seem to be coping with being in each other's pockets. Right by several parks/woods etc. so nice to get out and about in the nice weather for a walk or run (plus our lounge has double doors that open out onto a little garden). And we're a two and a half minute walk from a co-op stocked with our favourite wine. Both have good jobs which working from home hasn't affected too badly (in fact doing ideas for ads is less stressful away from the office). Apart from not seeing family, mates and footy I almost prefer this way of life (obviously without the 'people dying' aspect).

Is anyone else actually quite enjoying this lockdown or am I a weirdo? on 10:06 - Apr 22 with 1229 views | Churchman | I’ve been fine with it. We are lucky in that our little house has enough space for me and er indoors and have a small garden. I’m 10 mins walk from the countryside and from a Supermarket, Bakery and a Co-op garage that sells stuff. My sister is staying with my dad so that base is covered. I also finished full time work last year, have plenty to do and luckily don’t have money worries. On the downside, I miss my usual life (ok, pubs for a big part!) locally and in London and the choice of getting out and about and doing what I normally do. There are many many people far worse off than me. A buddy of mine is full time caring for his dad and it’s not easy. My neighbour has 3 children who are getting very bored and her unwell mother nearby to look after. Another mate, similar story and has has his income slashed too. In conclusion, I’ve nothing to complain about at all, but will be glad when things return to normal/new normal.

you didn't get as far as reading this bit then "And before anyone starts throwing things at me I fully appreciate some people are in awful situations, a point that I have often mentioned and I also fully appreciate that some people have lost loved ones and or are dead. "

Yeah it's great being able to instantly disappear from a meeting you don't fancy and blame it on the internet.
