For some reason this is buried on the BBC website but makes for a sobering read. There’s no doubt we should have more PPE than we do but I’m not sure if every manufacture across the globe combined could create all which is needed worldwide.
The demand for masks and gowns is bigger than anything anyone has ever seen in the world.
Quite simply it is absolutely impossible for the world to keep up with the worlds requirements, Absolutely impossible. lack of PPE is nothing to do with money. It will get worse when USA infection spreads more across the country.
Nappy production is now being stopped to make more masks.
Edit; Rather than say we've got 40 tonnes coming from here and 500,000 pieces coming from there I wish Handjob would simply say "We are doing the best we can and bits are coming over in dribs and drabs but the situation globally is fecked".
