Am I the only person who thinks Pritti Patel’s head is disproportionate to the rest of her body?

Most people of her size have three of four chins. She’s gorgeous from the neck up.

Hardly.

PM questions and the prime minister was not even there. In fact hardly anyone was.

There are multiple heavy weights in the Tory party who would wipe the floor with Starmer who even though is an upgrade on JC is still very underwhelming.

Boris Johnson must weigh a good 15 stone at least. In boxing terms that makes him a heavyweight.

Considering Eric Pickles is enough to make most people give up. The least talented person I've ever had the misfortune of having to watch give a speech.

My Mother in Law works in a school uniform factory, they have made a load of scrubs but keep running out of material.

In their locality there is a sewing group making them at a rate of about 2 per day with a load of material - they've contacted them to ask for the material but the sewing group want to keep it as their members are enjoying it....

Her factory only has about 5 people working in it, but can chuck out serious quantities every day.

There was a report today that the NHS used to source this themselves and 3 weeks ago the Govt elected to take it into Whitehall

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/04/22/decision-take-control-ppe-coming-bac

“The fateful decision was taken in the final week of March,” Bill Gardner reports. “Instead of leaving the NHS to solve the problem, ministers decided to take control themselves. Little more than three weeks later, according to Whitehall sources and industry insiders, that move may have backfired.”

Matey's been on the TV again saying how necessary equipment is being distributed where it's needed, including care homes.

Then we see care home staff and managers on the same tv close to tears, gutted that they're still not receiving the proper support.

Maybe you and I haven't got a clue and all these people are liars and the government really have got hold of this and know what they're doing. Maybe the equipment is flooding into these places and the staff and managers just haven't noticed.

Maybe they're looking in the wrong cupboards.

I've heard logistics mentioned a few times too. I'd have thought anything on wheels would do quite frankly but apparently that's not possible either.

I have questions, it doesn't mean I'm being clever, but it doesn't make my curiosity impertinent either.

I understand, for example, the need for water repellent and not waterproof fabric for aprons. I have also seen the article which briefly claims there is only one place in the UK that can use this material. It doesn't say why that could be. What is so special that normal flat machines and overlockers are no use. Again, I can't pretend to know but I am confused what's so special that the average machinist wouldn't be able to do the job.

In addition, as emergencies can call for drastic measures, I wonder if there's any reason more regular fabrics can't be made water repellent by being sprayed and made to be at least better than nothing at all.

We're too busy trying to do things properly and normally in an abnormal situation.

The equipment will be going to NHS establishments as a priority I presume and privately owned care homes will rightly or wrongly be at the back of the queue.

Its a sticky question as is it the fault of the government that these profit making care home were ill prepared or should more serious questions be asked of CEO's and shareholders as to why?

All men and women are created, by the, you know the, you know the thing.

I think he’s come back to work too soon and we should have had a temporary PM with full authority during his absence.

If he isn’t well enough to do the job he has to stand aside until he is fit to return.

but there now seems to be an explanation for that uncertainty.
