What is the Covid situation sailing round Cape Cod?

Can’t believe you’ve dropped me in that category.
I’ve never cycled the length of Africa either.

Zoom drinks with friends is getting old. Novelty of that has worn off pretty quick.

Also bugging me: the overload of footy content. Magilton taking over Twitter, 37 Best XI posts a day, old matches being reported on as if they were live... I should be grateful but I’m a little sick of all this stuff (that I know I’m not forced to read)

Only the ones that don't give you ample warning that they're coming or wait 30 seconds so you can put the bloody dog on a lead.
My dog is unlikely to chase them, what with being 13 and all, but she WILL want to say hello and get underfoot and trip you up, you're not in a bloody race, so wait 30 seconds!

If I waited 30 seconds during a jog, I'd never get going again!

But that's nothing compared to the embarrassing 5 minute overtaking manoeuvre required to get past power walkers....

Is a 'sort of' wife a Norfolk euphemism for a blood relative?

I been doing those with my mate as a replacement for our Monday night trot down the pub, the first one was bearable, the ones since an annoying waste of time. I’ve no idea why I agreed to do it, given I was never a fan of video conferencing at work.

For me the daily briefings. Mainly the intro bit by the Minister telling us why we are doing this and especially the journalists’ awful questions. The ‘off’ button is a wonderful thing.

….things behind them in work Skype meetings to try and look cool.

One turd I work with randomly had a guitar behind him today, it's not been there for any of the other calls, and I know he can't play it.

The amount of divs who I see obviously positioning their laptops to show off their bookcases is getting boring too.

Maybe I just shouldn't have had 6 hours of skype meetings today.

Webcams used to be so much more fun......

Now you mention it, I had a neighbour who cut his grass daily and since the lockdown he's stopped which makes little sense.

I have another neighbour who washes his car at least 3 times a week. I wash my car when it rains.

I love washing our nice car. I tend to do it weekly. It’s just such a nice colour that it looks incredible in the sun after a wash!

The dickheads in supermarkets who, despite giving fellow shoppers plenty of space now being part of the deal rather than just a normal polite thing to do, manage to find a way to clog up the aisle with their trolley so a clump of people are left standing closer together than they should be because they can't get past.

A neighbour claiming they are in 'strict isolation' meaning everyone else in the neighbourhood having to get their shopping etc for them (which is always needlessly specific, i.e. certain brands and quantities of frozen burgers, and always want things getting for them every day) but still going out in their car several times a day. Plus there has barely been a day in the past several weeks when there hasn't been a dpd/yodel etc van delivering something to their house.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

THE slightest noise from the rotten sods next door. So LOUD. Never talk in a normal tone of voice - every thing is shouting. Whamming doors continuously. Screaming and screaming. Loud barking dog. Nothing new from before the lockdown to be honest. I get irritable at most things that would normally not bother me. Even getting pointless post like leaflets and supermarkets that are about 3 miles from where we live bugs me.

Can’t you just lie and tell them that they are out-of-stock of most of what they want? They’ll soon get the message.

Dunno about petty but I really do have an issue with people who can't seem to follow the little arrows put on the floor for them by local shops.

It's not difficult is it.

You go that way around and you wait a few moments until the person in front of you is done.

If you forget something and then go back the other way, pushing past several everyone else, then the whole thing's a waste of time.

And frankly I hope you catch it. (Although I don't, because then you'll give to everyone else with your selfishness).

You know who you are.

Also that amount of make-up isn't necessary and doesn't improve you in the slightest.

People in supermarkets picking up a product, reading the back, putting it back on the shelf. Normally wouldn't bother me but not necessary at the moment. If you're unsure about it, don't finger it and then leave it. That's not bad advice for other walks of life too.

A couple of times now I've brought items I've picked up in error rather than putting them back on the shelf.

Should you have to do this rather than replace the item, bearing in mind you sanitize your hands on the way in?

"A couple of times now I've brought items I've picked up in error rather than putting them back on the shelf."

I like that, that made me laugh.

Mind you, that's the sort of thing I'd do.

I suppose it could go in the food bank so someone gets it who wants it; that stuff's been handled anyway and you'd assume people would take their own steps regarding those items.

Clichés and soundbites.

This probably comes from watching more tv but after 6 weeks of lockdown I don't need to be constantly reminded we are living in unprecedented times, difficult times, strange times, unpredictable times etc etc etc - just give me the info...and don't give me "led by science" as a soundbite either. Tell me what that science is, what alternatives have been discussed and why this is the science we should be confident of.

I'm just finding everything so dumbed down right now and it gets my goat.
