"People are desperate to get football back on" - Glenn Murray 09:11 - May 1 with 1673 viewsartsbossbeard

He talks a lot of sense here.

Presumably, the desperation he talks of is the messaging from Sky, Premier League & world wide tv audiences. Most (all) people that I know really couldn't give a flying **** about footy presently.

Effectively, we're asking athletes to return to a sport and take risks that could effect extended families just so Derek from Bath can sit in front of his tv in his LFC replica shirts with a can a of Carlsberg.

I've resigned to the fact that I won't be watching ITFC at Fortress PR till 2021 with anything before this a bonus.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

I don't think people are desperate for football at all. It would be nice but there are more important things going on.

The football money men are desperate.
