If a vaccine against Covid 19 was, for argument sake available tomorrow, but it had been tested on animals - would anyone on here refuse to have it simply due to animal testing?
Whilst I think ideally there would be no animal testing that wouldn’t stop me from having it.

People are the animals in the great pandemic panic... vaccines are even being tested on people in this country without adequate animal testing to establish any sensible degree... and then the ultimate test.... how will placebo do against a killer virus..... some people have volunteered to do that.
Nobody is worrying about vast amounts of plastic being used only once at the moment either
Animal testing would have be of limited use as the ultimate test is whether the vaccine would work in Humans rather than mice, chimps or whatever.
So once the vaccine clears the animal tests, I wonder whether any of those happy to eat meat (like myself) would be willing to test the vaccine?
Take a shot and then expose yourself to the virus to see if the vaccine is effective? For the greater good of humanity and to possibly help save millions of lives in the future years...
They already are using animals, monkeys in the main. They know for example, that monkeys exposed to the virus have not been able to re-contract it for a period of 60 days.
Obviously in some countries and some universities, monkeys will be used to test vaccines.

Yes, some truly brave scientists.
This pandemic's unearthing tens of thousands of heroes (and some prats).

Couldn't they trial multiple things at the same time so at least when they experiment on them, they sort of get something out of it. Nice perfume or something.
