Yes. It was so obvious even Benters got it.

I know that you've been as bad as any at ignoring stuff. But I don't take it personally so keep firing away.

No, Benters invented it. But thanks for the further evidence of your falsehoods, smearing & dirty tactics.

Who has skin in the game? People with less money, more likely to need state support or living in a day to day - the old working class + today's even less fortunate.

So the people fighting most for that didn't have skin in the game? Not sure how you'd work that out but no doubt you've got a particular and narrow view of a studenty Corbyn supporter that will bear that out.

But that's academic, if they didn't that makes them even better at this political representation lark.

No I have not. You posted extensive videos of around an hour to view which I explained I couldn't because of my eyesight. You then postednumerous links of text versions which I said I would read (several hours of reading required) when I had time. And I did. Also posted reply telling you same. Never went on to discuss the texts it's true, because by that time it was a few weeks later and the world + TWTD had moved on. And not everyone has all day every day to sit on TWTD as you apparently do, posting their political views.

Now I'm just off to see my garage mechanic who's coming round to service mower, have a coffee over the wall with my neighbours, and then plant 300 spring onions. I do hope that's alright with you

No, my view of a typical corbynite doesn't match that. I think they're often middle-class profesional types living relatively affluent lives, or throwback semi-pro politicos / protestors, or even just people in fairly comfortable public sector or charitable roles. The common denomintator in my mind is relative personal financial security.

Like I say, I could be wrong, but the fact Corbyn's labour tended to perfom less well up north where people have less, but better in London and other large cities, tends to point that way.

For someone who still spends a lot of time on here you frequently say you don't have the time. It's just a very odd excuse and doesn't really hold up for you or GB who also overuses it.

If we're being brutally honest, it's a swerve. I get it - I could probably avoid difficult discussions if I did it too.

You’re sounding like one of these brainwashed religious nutters.

The amount of investment some people have in politics that they can’t change is unbelievable. If people put that much energy into their community the world would be a better place.

I'm not into this identity politics stuff, so my views are probably pretty limited. One of my sister-in-laws was bitten by the Corbyn bug, after decades of living hand to mouth as a freelancer with little work. She's now got herself a position in the local arm/group of the Party. She and her 'comrades' don't seem to be anything of the sort you're describing. We had a big turnout down here as wel of normy scruffy herbets when Corbyn turned up on the campaign trail.

He may well have a champagne socialist following, but I wonder if that's more a social media thing? Grass roots stuff that I've seen seems to be pretty core working class.

So the poorest working class people are all on the right or in the centre?

Anyway, "semi-pro politicos and protesters" - aren't you really saying that people who have time to be politically involved whatever the party are generally not living hand-to-mouth?

That's probably fair.

I know that's your thing. But I think the community and the national stuff need to work together.

For example, I don't see food banks as a long-term or even desirable solution, no matter how necessary they can be here and now.

I'd certainly support both approaches rather than thinking only one matters.

It's 3 weeks in its what happens in the next 4 & half years which counts, Corbyn did OK in his first few outings and to be fair he often did OK at PMQ's, Starmer's biggest problem is the Labour party and how it's going to react over the next 4+ years in terms of infighting, can he control that.
He did ok recently on the Andrew Marr show until Marr asked him should we push-back EU discussion beyond the end of the year given the virus and he immediately jumped on the fence and wouldn't give a yes/no, remember that was Corbyn's problem an inability to give a decision on a key topic

Starmer's biggest problem is that most Labour voters are very militant without being particularly intelligent.

Just while I wait for coffee to brew & mechanic to arrive.

I spend maybe half hour here at lunchtime & sometimes an hour at night maybe five days a week (more on match days obvs), which means (rather stupidly) I only get 5 1/2 hrs sleep in 24. I get involved on many topics on here other than politics & I have never, ever, swerved anything - people who are prepared to be truthful and objective will know that. On average my working day (outside & in) is 17 hours. You & your obsessiveness with me is not amongst my priorities.

I'm now off to meet the mechanic, give him keys, make coffee & then to the veg plot - oh, sorry, according to you I should have said "swerve" you

"For the many not the few"

Oh the famous whatabouterry ...that Glassers is allowed to do but no-one else is!

Regardless, at least "For the many not the few" has some meaning behind it It's the whole ethos of the Labour Party.

'Get Brexit Done" being trumpeted every 3rd sentence is a bit different.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

i haven't changed my position once. not one iota. i have been boringly, dully, repetitively, obsessively, consistent - as any reader of the forum will attest.

my view, based upon all the evidence I have seen, is that labour under corbyn utterly failed to deal with serious anti-semitism within the party. but me stating that won't convince you or that other nutter. so i say: let's see what the ehrc concludes - since i assume that you will accept their findings as fair and conclusive. I know what i expect them to find - but, again, just me saying that isn't going to convince you.

You have changed on how you use the report lots of times. You have said both "let's wait and see what the ehrc concludes" (as in not preepmt it) and have also jumped the gun about what will be in the report (i.e. prempted it). Basically whichever helps you best in an argument.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

those things aren't inconsistent. i expect the report to be damning, but i know we'll have to wait for it to come out before you'll be persuaded of that. by 'wait and see' i am saying that i accept i will get nowhere in arguing with you now. simple stuff.

but logical reasoning with dolly is a fools game and i'll leave it there.

Yes, I've seen *some* people get pre-emptively upset about Starmer and where his true allegiances lie. They're entitled to suspicions given the factionalism that they've seen up close for years but that the general public is (very) slowly learning about.

But you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. As we know, all that "no smoke without fire" stuff can get people carried away.
