worth a watch for anyone who things our gov have actually done a good job preparing for this pandemic.

Poll: So what do we think will happen with MM and the Aston Villa job?

I'd imagine the news room in there is solidly anti-Tory, and-Boris, anti-Brexit/pro-EU and anti-Trump.

Poll: Would you support a permanent return to the old yellow Town badge?

Sure you are right, but that doesn't mean what they are reporting isn't correct. It is possible to to think the Tories have been hopeless on CV whether or not you support them.

You have a point although it is impossible to trust that their investigations into political affairs are done from an impartial starting point.

They are having a Weston though. Regardless of political allegiance. Our politics is not so poisonously partisan that we can't agree that. Surely.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

That's where I would beg to differ. I have met / encountered two of their current reporters both of whom I have no doubt would only ever report truthfully.

I think their left wing bias (which I accept) would mean they are quick to highlight government failures, but they would both still be partial in ensuring the story was factually accurate imho.

In this case, the starting point is 'have the government done a good job?'

All the evidence says 'no'.

Any day now, I'm sure that dear old Baron will be able to tell us what the concrete benefits are of a no-deal Brexit to people who aren't billionaires.

The government have been poor throughout the pandemic and that's being kind... but seeing the Jon Snow/Rachel Reeves mutual arse-licking session tonight was one of the most nauseating pieces of news production I have ever seen.

Not sure anybody has said they have done a good job. Probably done the best/think they could. They could certainly have done better, with hindsight. Would labour/Lib Dems have done better? Debateable.

Of course, its Fake News innit, same as CNN and the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation.

Odd how a branch of media that is legally required to be impartial is viewed as left-wing propaganda by certain types.

They were making literally no preparations, whilst watching the unfolding clusterf*ck that was Italy going 'it's alright, we're British'.
The day SAGE issued guidelines saying 'avoid contact' Boris was boasting about shaking hands with covid patients.

Mistakes weren't made 'in hindsight' they were out front obvious.

If there's one thing we've learnt over the past few years it's that reality has an alarming left-wing bias.

So would Corbyn have done better? Those were the only options open to us at the time of the election. Yes, the Government could have done much better, but would Corbyn have done better?

I am not saying the Government shouldn't be held to account. I am saying that of the options available at the time, who would have done better. And in answer to your previous posts, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
