Those 1930's kits with the white sleeves look classy, would like a modern version of that.

Just seen this “retro shirt” and I have questions on 18:11 - May 16 with 1170 views | PhilTWTD | This is the 1889 kit and I imagine they didn't change them every season back then, so I would guess this is what they were wearing the previous season. I assume that kit is an attempt at a modernised version of that.

You look rather splendid as the goalkeeper, Phil, with your bushy moustache. I suppose you were described as custodian of the onion bag.

I think the term 'onion bag' was seen as a bit too French and fancy dan in those days. Incidentally, I see that team group includes William Sherrington but not his brother Charles, the only Nobel Prize winner to have played for the Blues. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Scott_Sherrington

Broomhill was the ground between 1877 and 1883. They used to change at the Inkerman pub.

'The only Nobel Prize winner to have played for the Blues'....to date. I'd have said he was the only Town player to win a Nobel Prize, as that represents the order in which the two things happen.
