Refreshingly honest and competent. I'm unaware as to his religion. Why is that relevant?

I thought you were taking the Michael out of his name what wouldn't do . Then thought he was a new signing or manager so googled him....apparently not....what has he said?

Really?

I think that’s his persona but he seems more slippery when answering questions then any of the other medical bods to me.

Give me Chris Whitty any day.

My order of preference would be:

Jon Van-Tam
Chris Whitty
Patrick Valance
Jenny Harries
The bloke who's name escapes me

you've got no width with that formation. you're just going to be lobbing down the middle to the guy up front.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

Brutal. There's nowhere to hide in the social media world. You can't even say there have been "three hundred thousand, and thirty four, nine hundred and seventy four thousand" tests or that we need "fundamental changes to tackle counter-terrorism" without people ripping the pee out of you these days.

They are all slippery, have you ever seen any of them say anything that doesn't toe the government line?

"Here on this graph we see the number of tests rising to a peak, and ... " [slide disappears to avoid expert having to comment on it falling again]

He was the first of the science bods that I saw extolling the virtues of ventilation and being out in the fresh air. That got him on my good side.

What in particular has enthused you about him today?

Nothing in particular from today. Just impressed me very time they use him at these briefings. Straight talking non nonsense and knows his stuff.

Speaking personally I find him over the top. Probably my least favourite of the ‘experts’.

Yes an absolute wizzard. After last nights briefing when he said "if my memory serves me correctly it was introduced on the 29th and 30th February" .......so he is really on top of his game.....an extra day of lockdown in a leap year
