Football Greed at its worst 12:20 - May 19 with 815 viewsChurchman75

The Premier League should absolutely give 100% financial support to League one to make sure this season concludes properly.
Football Clubs obviously have VERY short memories.

How would these clubs like to be in this position.....
Bournemouh
Burnley
Brighton
Leicester
Man City
Norwich
Sheffield United
Watford
Wolves

They all have been in League one and this could easily have been them.

Step up i say.

Astonishing that half the teams in Premier League have played in third tier at some point since the inception of Premiership.

There is still hope for us going forward.

Then again Swindon and Oldham...

Plus the likes of Cambridge, Colchester, Plymouth, Stockport and Port Vale we’re all in the Championship/Division One.

What is "100% financial support"?
Why should clubs who will already struggle to meet their commitments to wages given the absence of match day income & uncertain future income, subsidise other clubs?
Surely this is a time for a huge re-set in player salaries. The problems in the Football league are harder to work around as TV income is such a smaller part of their revenue, but no reason for the PL to subsidise them, especially as they seem incapable of playing behind closed doors (whether that is right or wrong).
