I think I did a top 3 list if fictional cats and maybe top 10 chocolate bars.

What about Christmas films?

I'd go:

1. Muppet Christmas Carol
2. Home Alone
3. Arthur Christmas

Honourable mention to Jurassic Park.

We do chuckle at the Nativity films in this house.

Hey dude, where's your donkey! (I never realised they were a homage to Keir Starmer's mum).

Die Hard will never be a Christmas film for me, I'll probably get slammed for that but it was released in July, hardly Christmas is it?

I knew this would ruffle a few feathers. It's an action film which focuses on a cop trying to stop terrorists, what's Christmas about that?

I think Jurassic park is a Christmas film too. Has always been on at Christmas.

Is it just me or has Rambo: First Blood been a pretty regular recent feature too? Must've been three or four on the trot I think I've watched that.

Not complaining.

P.S. Disappointing that Jingle All the Way hasn't been mentioned yet...

Jurassic Park is a Christmas Day classic. There's always a Disney/Pixar film on at some point.

1. A Christmas story
2. Home Alone
3. Elf

If you haven't got A Christmas story at number 1 then you need to have a long hard look in the mirror.

Its a Christmas film, because it is very much set against the backdrop of Christmas, people coming home for Christmas to be together, and being scuppered by a bunch of shooty baddies.

Its one of those cloying sweet setups where, whilst happening to deal with a bunch of terrorists, the big motivation is to survive, rescue the wife, and get home for Christmas.

I'm with you on that one. Those who claim it as a Christmas film are ninnies.
